Pre-Press Technician

   

Klein Group LTD. is seeking a Pre-Press Technician to join our production team in Winnipeg.

This position is ideal for someone with strong layout, file preparation, and print production skills who can take customer-supplied materials and ensure they are properly prepared for high-quality print production.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare customer jobs for print, including magazines, newspapers, flyers, inserts, and other printed materials
     
  • Complete layout and production work as required to meet client and internal specifications


  • Understanding of the Proimage commercial prodcution software.
     
  • Review files for accuracy, quality, sizing, pagination, bleeds, colour settings, and print readiness
     
  • Make corrections and adjustments to files to ensure proper output
     
  • Create and finalize print-ready files for production
     
  • Plate jobs accurately and ensure they are properly prepared for press
     
  • Work closely with internal departments and clients to resolve file issues and production questions
     
  • Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
     
  • Help maintain consistent quality and workflow throughout the pre-press process
     

Qualifications


  • Experience in pre-press, print production, or graphic layout
     
  • Strong understanding of print-ready file setup, pagination, bleeds, colour profiles, and imposition
     
  • Experience preparing plated jobs for print
     
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and production software
     
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
     
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
     
  • Newspaper, magazine, or commercial print experience is an asset

Commercial Print Sale Executive

Job Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets. They will focus on managing client relationships and think strategically to solve complex customer problems, provide solutions to customer challenges, and ensure that customer needs are completely met. This role requires exceptional communication skills, knowledge of the commercial print and packaging industry, and a proven track record in sales. It demands clear attention to detail and a drive for excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed company revenue targets.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities through market research, a variety of networking channels and outreach
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain, strengthen, and further develop relationships with clients through regular contact and communication; ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Responsible for continuous growth of customer base through researching, pursuing, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Identify customer needs and think of new methods to fill those needs in ways that create value for prospective customers, existing customers, and for the company.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts. Engage in consultative, solution-based conversations to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Book and conduct company tours and sales presentations with clients to engage company interest and solidify customer confidence.


Sales Performance

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, structural design, graphic design, account coordinators, plant personnel, etc.) to deliver customer solutions and provide efficiency and a unified company image.


Team Collaboration

  • Provide insights and feedback to the team to improve products, services, and overall processes.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent the company.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and product innovations to maintain a competitive edge.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in a senior sales role.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial print and/or packaging industry, with the ability to grasp new trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills with a history of securing high-value deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven and highly motivated with a commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
