Manitoba News Reporter

   

Klein Media Group seeks an ambitious, entry-level journalist to join our dynamic team in Manitoba. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate looking to launch their career in journalism and make a real impact in the local community.


The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Editorial and be responsible for covering news and events throughout Manitoba. We are looking for a creative, curious individual who is passionate about uncovering compelling stories that inform and engage our readers.


Key responsibilities include:

· Generating thought-provoking story ideas regularly.

· Conducting thorough research to develop accurate, well-rounded articles.

· Writing clear, concise, and engaging content for our print and digital platforms.

· Ability to create compelling video and social media content.

· Proficient in online research to stay up-to-date on community issues.

· Meeting tight deadlines.


The ideal candidate will have:

· A journalism degree or diploma from an accredited institution.

· Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.

· A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

· The ability to adapt to emerging trends in multimedia reporting.

· A collaborative spirit and a willingness to take on new challenges.

· Familiarity with Manitoba's local communities and issues (preferred).


Must be able to work effectively without close supervision and function as a member of a team of professionals.

Manitoba Commercial Print Sale Executive

Job Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for identifying business opportunities, building key customer relationships, and closing deals to achieve revenue targets. They will focus on managing client relationships and think strategically to solve complex customer problems, provide solutions to customer challenges, and ensure that customer needs are completely met. This role requires exceptional communication skills, knowledge of the commercial print and packaging industry, and a proven track record in sales. It demands clear attention to detail and a drive for excellence in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed company revenue targets.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities through market research, a variety of networking channels and outreach
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Maintain, strengthen, and further develop relationships with clients through regular contact and communication; ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Responsible for continuous growth of customer base through researching, pursuing, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Identify customer needs and think of new methods to fill those needs in ways that create value for prospective customers, existing customers, and for the company.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts. Engage in consultative, solution-based conversations to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Book and conduct company tours and sales presentations with clients to engage company interest and solidify customer confidence.


Sales Performance

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, structural design, graphic design, account coordinators, plant personnel, etc.) to deliver customer solutions and provide efficiency and a unified company image.


Team Collaboration

  • Provide insights and feedback to the team to improve products, services, and overall processes.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent the company.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and product innovations to maintain a competitive edge.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in a senior sales role.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial print and/or packaging industry, with the ability to grasp new trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills with a history of securing high-value deals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven and highly motivated with a commitment to meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally.
